This spice rub can be thrown together in less than 5 minutes and made well in advance. It's my go-to for chicken and salmon, especially when I just want a quick meal!
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp salt (34 g)
2 tbsp black pepper (14 g)
2 tbsp onion powder (12 g)
1 tbsp garlic powder (5 g)
2 tbsp cumin (12 g)
2 tbsp paprika (13 g)
1 tbsp chili powder (12 g)
INSTRUCTIONS
Gather all ingredients and mix together in a small bowl. Pour into airtight container of choice, and enjoy!
NOTES & TIPS
This makes quite a bit of seasoning mix, but can easily be scaled up/down to your preference.
To cook with salmon or chicken (or other protein of choice), just rub with olive oil and generously sprinkle seasoning on both sides.
As long as the seasoning mix is stored in a dry airtight container, it should have no problem lasting a couple years (just like regular ground spices).
